Michael J. Adornetto LCSW
Michael is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey and has been practicing social work since 1991. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania then went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh, PA. He is an Accredited Clinical Social Worker (ACSW) with over 25 years of experience working with a multitude of populations. Michael’s vast experiences in social work includes in-patient psychiatric, outpatient partial care, schools, managed care, and in the public and private sector.
Michael will work with a wide array of clients which includes, but is not limited to, individuals from the age of 5 and above, couples, and families. He has vast experience working with adolescents and parent/child related issues. His areas of expertise include ADHD, anxiety, adoption, depression, relationship issues, parenting, and grief.
Jessica Cody, LAMFT
Jessica Cody is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT). She received her graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Drexel University in 2016. Her previous experience includes group home and foster care/adoption work and in-home therapy for children, adolescents and their families, who have severe behavioral challenges and mental health issues.
Jessica has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults that are experiencing a range of life’s challenges and stressors, including anxiety, depression, trauma, major life changes, grief and loss, relationship issues, and family dynamics. Jessica takes a genuine, patient and empathetic approach to treatment and believes that treatment should be tailored to the needs of each individual client.
Doreen Frake, LCSW
Doreen Frake, LCSW received her MSW in 1994 from Rutgers University with a minor in gerontology and obtained her clinical license in 1996. Post graduate, she received certifications in animal assisted therapy, clinical supervision of graduate students and school counseling. Over the years, she as worked in a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient medical facilities, assissted living facilities, and psychiatric hospitals.
Prior to joining Garden State Behavioral Health, she was trained in affect regulation therapy and worked with Alzheimer patients utilizing innovative computer programs designed to retain short memory and slow down the disease process. Her specialties include treating depression, anxiety, grief, and bereavement. She treats populations including adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Her cognitive behavioral therapy style provides a positive, supportive environment where each patient plan is unique and tailored to the client’s desired goals and needs.
Dr. Steel received her medical degree from the University of Genoa (Italy). She completed her Residency training in Psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She has worked in various outpatient settings for the past 26 years. Dr. Steel sees adult patients in initial psychiatric evaluations for diagnostic and medication management purposes. Follow-up appointments for medication management are then arranged at suitable intervals. Dr. Steel has particular interests in mood and anxiety disorders.
Patricia Johnston, LCSW
Patricia Johnston has 30 plus years of experience in which she has acquired a wealth of knowledge in a variety of mental health issues, addictions, and life. She has particular experience with anxiety, depression, grief, addictions, eating disorders, and sexual issues. She treats adults of all ages, adolescents and couples, using a variety of modalities suited to the particular situation.
